The Denver Broncos have announced that they have waived cornerback Sean Fresch, Jr. today.
Fresch Jr. joined the team after playing in the UFL for the St. Louis Battlehawks where he led punt return yards this past season. He was a late addition to the roster after the UFL season ended and was considered a long shot to make the roster:
The Broncos are pretty loaded at corner with Pat Surtain II, Riley Moss, Ja’Quan McMillian, Jahdae Barron, and Kris Abrams-Draine locked into roster spots. After that,
you have Taylor Reese, Jaden Robinson, Ahmari Harvey, Brent Austin, and now Sean Fresch competing for one final spot on the 53-man roster or a few spots on their practice squad.
The Broncos are just too loaded at cornerback for Fresch to make the final 53, but he could see some interest on the team’s practice squad.
