Mustafa Ali is showcasing his excellence in the ring by offering open challenge around the world to compete for the TNA International Championship. His latest defense happened on Impact (May 21, 2026) against WWE ID champion Chazz “Starboy” Hall.
Hall rocked out for his entrance to debut in TNA. The Denim Dragon was given a picture-in-picture promo mentioning his WWE experience in NXT and Evolve. He plans to leave TNA star-stuck by walking out champion.
Hall talked the talk, and he walked the walk. Starboy taunted Ali by sitting on his back. Ali responded by increasing his aggression. The 23-year-old didn’t back down. He scored a sweet handspring backflip dive over the ropes outside.
Ali never really got his groove going, but he had veteran savvy on his side. Hall had momentum for tornado DDTs and a Cosmic Swirl splash. Ali caught Hall on a handspring to counter for a jackknife pin to win.
This was an impressive performance from Hall for those that have never seen him before. We’ll see if this leads to more work in TNA through the partnership with WWE.
