Here’s a fun stat: Liv Morgan, who won the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 42 in April, has yet to defend the title 57 days into her reign.

As someone who appreciates quality over quantity, I have no problem with Morgan waiting on a suitable challenger to emerge rather than her gifting title shots to unworthy randoms.

But for critics who damned stars like Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and Jade Cargill for being more intentional champions, I can see why they would find Morgan’s inactivity troubling.

Trouble. That sounds like Morgan.

But don’t get it twisted. Judgment Day’s leader isn’t sitting on the couch, coating her fingers in Cheetos dust. She’s 2-0 since winning the gold, both non-title matches. Currently, she’s killing it in the Queen of the Ring tournament, where she’s just two wins away from becoming Queen and earning a shot at SmackDown’s Women’s Championship at SummerSlam.

It’s a lofty pursuit that, if Morgan can pull off, would justify keeping the world title on ice for an ultimate champion vs. champion showdown at WWE’s annual summer spectacular in August.
