With it looking like they will be on their fourth starting quarterback of 2026, things don’t look good for the Syracuse Orange (2-3, 0-3) tomorrow night against the Louisville Cardinals (3-3, 2-2). travel to the JMA Dome. Kickoff from the JMA Dome is at 7:30 on the ACC Network with Jorge Sedano, Rodney McLeod and Annabelle Hasselbeck will be on the call.
Here is what the #DisloyalIdiots are predicting
Kevin: Louisville 38, Syracuse 16
The Cardinals defense has struggled this year, but it’s hard to see
the 4th-string quarterback being able to do enough to keep pace with Louisville’s offense. With the Orange having to focus on Isaac Brown but that opens things up for Lincoln Kienholz. The Ohio State transfer is completing 68% of his throws with 9 touchdowns and just 1 interception and should be able to take advantage of a Syracuse team that will be loaded up on the Cardinals running game.
Any chance the Orange have to win this one seems like it will require turnovers that Syracuse turns into touchdowns. If not, it could be an early exit for those in the Dome.
Dom: Louisville 41, Syracuse 20
This plays out similarly to the Pitt game: Syracuse shows some fight for portions of the game and can at least stay within the ballpark, but mistakes and no kicking game leave opportunities on the board that Louisville capitalizes on. If Odom and Nelson are both out and Syracuse goes back to Angeli, that’s certainly a drastic shift for the offense. Could he be “healthier” now compared to earlier in the year? Possibly, but despite how frustrating Louisville has looked at times this year, this is quite a favorable matchup that hands the Orange another conference L.
Tanner: Louisville 42, Syracuse 28
As much as the turnover battle matters in this game; the time of possession matters as well for Syracuse. The good news for the Orange, they lead the conference in time of possession with around 34 minutes per game. Louisville on the other hand, ranks in the bottom half of T.O.P. but the Cardinals can score quick and fast, big explosive plays are the identity of the offense. The Cuse Defense is going to have to get the L-Ville offense off the field quickly. Due to the fourth new quarterback for SU, and even if Angeli is a go, the offense is going to take way too long to get going before this one gets out of hand in the second half.
