Terrance Ferguson sustained a medial ankle sprain during Week 3 against the Denver Broncos and is expected to miss the upcoming gameagainst the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Sean McVay. While it is a setback for the second-year tight end, it opens the door for rookie Max Klare.
With injuries at the position, does it mean Klare is in for a bigger role? Acording to McVay, it does.
Per Blaine Grisak of SI:
“It certainly does,” said Sean McVay. “This week will represent an opportunity for him to be
able to get some reps and maybe get some good game-time action for us.”
Week 4 Injury Designations:
Puka Nacua, listed as limited on Thursday, is expected to play:
“I do, yeah,” McVay said. “Had a good workout on uh on Sunday and um you know good walkthrough just now and so um excited to be able to have him back.”
Nacua was initially injured during training camp, as he suffered a groin injury or psoas injury. This turned into a hip ailment, that has now kept him out of both Week 2 and Week 3.
Kamren Kinchens will miss another week with his hamstring issue. This will be his third game in a row since injuring the hamstring in Week 1.
Jaylen Watson dislocated his shoulder against Denver on Sunday and is expected to be out. His absence in the second half of that game illustrated just how little depth the Rams have in the defensive backfield. The Broncos put up 30 points in the half after being shut out in the first.
Colby Parkinson suffered an AC joint sprain in his shoulder in the Denver game. Parkinson did not practice today and may be a game-time decision.
Josh Wallace was limited due to a shoulder injury. His game status should be released Friday, but it should be noted that he played last week until the end of the game.
Aaron Donald did not practice for the second day in a row with a sore back and is listed as questionable. McVay offered more updates on Donald, stating that he is dealing with a back injury. When pressed further, the Rams head coach said he did not want to say whether or not the defensive end would miss the game.
“I wouldn’t want to say anything, you know, of that nature yet, but uh I think um you know, the back’s a little bit sore,” McVay said of Donald.
Nate Landman did not practice and is listed as questionable with a shoulder injury.
Injury Timeline

- Weeks 2 & 3: Listed as limited in practice leading up to matchups against the Giants and Broncos, though he successfully played through the pain in both contests.
- Week 4 (Current): Continues to be listed as limited on practice reports, though head coach Sean McVay has not indicated any threat to his availability for Sunday.
Davante Adams and Poona Ford had a designated rest days, and Myles Garrett must remain on the IR for at least another week after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his knee.
