“It was an amazing performance
by the players. We came here with quite a bit of trepidation because we have got eight players out at the moment – thirty percent of our squad just about out. And a lot of them, everybody will know, are starters in the team as well. So, the credit should go to the boys who came in and done the job today ,” says David Moyes. [EFC]

Tottenham have agreed a transfer fee with Crystal Palace for winger Brennan Johnson with Everton amongst the interested teams.
Looks like we’ll be seeing Harrison Armstrong back very soon.
Moyes was very pleased with both his goalscorers yesterday.
On Garner: “He was fantastic tonight, he really was. Coming back to his old club, I thought he played really well – but he has for a while. He’s playing so well for us and he’s taken on a bit more responsibility, a bit more of the leadership, so he’s really matured.”
On Barry: “You should see my relief when he scored as well! He’s getting better, doing a lot of things we like. We hope he can keep getting the goals.”
And on looking up the table: “We’d like to get ourselves in there [near the European places], maybe later in the season. We need to try and keep pushing on but we need to get some key players back because that will be too difficult to do without them.”
