• Superstar third baseman José Ramírez signed a new seven-year, $175 million contract extension with the Guardians that’ll keep him in Cleveland through 2032.
• There were reports yesterday afternoon that Yu Darvish had announced his retirement, however Darvish came out to set the record straight. The more accurate reporting seems to be that Darvish is looking to terminate the remainder of his contract with the Padres with the intention of getting his elbow healthy before deciding whether or not he needs to retire.
• The New York Mets signed reliever Craig Kimbrel to a minor league deal with an invite to Spring Trianing.
• Houston Astros manager Joe Espada announced that they intend to publicly humiliate Jose Altuve a little bit more in 2026.
