“Maverick” didn’t hold back.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight Isaac Dulgarian suffered a stunning upset loss to top Cuban prospect Yadier del Valle on the main card of UFC Vegas 110 last night (Sat., Nov. 1, 2025) inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada (watch highlights).
The fight is now under heavy scrutiny after suspicious betting line movement in the hours leading up to the event. Several sportsbooks pulled prop bets on the matchup — and later refunded wagers — after Dulgarian
went from a -240 favorite to -160, with a massive surge of action on a first-round finish (details here).
Fans online immediately began calling the bout “fixed,” though no official investigation has been announced. Still, the optics — combined with Dulgarian’s lackluster showing — raised plenty of eyebrows.
UFC veteran-turned desk analyst Michael Chiesa didn’t mince words when breaking down Dulgarian’s performance on the post-fight show. And while he stopped short of suggesting anything nefarious, his critique made it clear something looked off (Watch the Chiesa clip right here).
“It was jiu-jitsu 101. If you’re on the main card of a UFC, it’s one thing if you kind of get punched into submission, but it was a lot of Day 1 mistakes,” Chiesa said on the UFC post-fight show. “You can even hear on the broadcast like, ‘What is this guy doing?’ You peel the top hand. You don’t punch behind you. That is the most useless strike you can possibly throw. I’m sitting here on the pre-show hyping you up as a guy that can go into the top five and win fights, and it doesn’t even look like you can fight someone that’s in the bottom of the top 500. I’ve got to be honest here. That was an F- performance. It was absolute trash.”
“I’m not sitting here saying Del Valle is some scrub — the guy is undefeated for a reason, he’s a great fighter,” Chiesa added. “But I mean, for a guy in Dulgarian, you don’t even run your feet. Every fight before you shoot and run through these guys. You shot to Del Valle. You let him control you. You know how to cut the corner on your double leg, you know how to run your feet, you know how to re-attack. You know your short offense if you’re caught in a front headlock. You fought like an amateur.”
Chiesa closed his analysis bluntly.
“He literally laid an egg; he fought like an amateur. You fought like a guy who doesn’t even belong here. And I hate to just totally crap on the guy, but I’ve got to be honest in my assessment,” Chiesa concluded. “If that’s how you’re going to fight, there are other people who are more deserving.”
While Chiesa’s assessment might sound harsh, few could argue with it. Dulgarian’s performance was absolutely awful, especially given how talented a wrestler he is and how dominant he has been.
Dulgarian (2-2) is now riding back-to-back losses inside the Octagon, and with that pitiful showing, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the 27-year-old finds himself on the chopping block next week.
