The Cincinnati Bengals are 4-2 as they head into Week 8 of the 2026 season. They’re right in the thick of things in the extremely loaded AFC North and are preparing to face the 1-6 Tennessee Titans at home.
A familiar face is reportedly joining the team at tight end in the wake of injuries to Tanner Hudson and Erick All Jr., according to Charlie Clifford.
The Bengals have signed former tight end Cam Grandy off of the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad. Grandy was an undrafted free agent in 2024 out
of Illinois State. After he was cut following the preseason, the Bengals signed Grandy to the practice squad and later elevated him to the 53-man roster in November. The Bengals cut him this preseason, and the Vikings scooped him up.
This move is likely in response to the loss of tight end Tanner Hudson and the possible loss of Erick All Jr., who exited the game in the third quarter of the Bengals’ win over the Ravens. While nothing is official, if he re-injured the knee that he injured in college and then again in 2024, it could spell trouble for the talented pass catcher.
This will also force Drew Sample into a safety valve role in the passing game while Mike Gesicki plays like a slot receiver. We could also see more of rookie Jack Endries.
Grandy has seven receptions for 35 yards in his career, all with the Bengals.
