ISTANBUL — Fenerbahçe has added significant veteran experience and championship pedigree by signing Will Clyburn. Clyburn, who most recently competed for FC Barcelona, brings a résumé filled with elite-level accolades across Europe’s top leagues.
Clyburn’s journey to the top of European basketball began after a collegiate career at the University of Utah and Iowa State. After professional stints in Germany with ratiopharm Ulm and in Israel with Hapoel Holon, he first arrived in Istanbul for the 2016-17
season with Darüşşafaka. However, it was during his five-season tenure with CSKA Moscow that he solidified his status as a superstar, winning the 2018-19 EuroLeague championship and earning the Final Four MVP award.
A proven winner, Clyburn has also secured three VTB League titles, a Turkish League championship with Anadolu Efes, and an Italian league title with Virtus Bologna. Last season with Barcelona, he remained a force on the court, averaging 13.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists in the EuroLeague. The club has expressed its excitement for this new partnership, looking forward to achieving many successes with Clyburn in the “iconic striped jersey.”
Building on the momentum of the Clyburn signing, Fenerbahçe also announced on July 7 that Talen Horton-Tucker will be a on the roster for the 2026-27 season. This extension ensures the retention of a player who became a cornerstone of the team’s offensive strategy during the previous campaign.
Horton-Tucker’s first season in European basketball was nothing short of spectacular. In 41 EuroLeague appearances, he averaged 15.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists, earning a selection to the All-EuroLeague Second Team. His explosive scoring was a primary driver behind the team’s successful push to the EuroLeague Final Four.
His impact was equally felt on the domestic front. During the 2025-26 Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League season, Horton-Tucker averaged 13.2 points and 3.4 rebounds across 31 games, playing a vital role in Fenerbahçe’s league championship victory. He also helped the team sweep the domestic trophies, finishing the season with both the Presidential Cup and the Turkish Cup titles.
With the addition of Clyburn’s veteran leadership and the retention of Horton-Tucker’s dynamic scoring, Fenerbahçe Men’s Basketball appears poised for another historic season on both the domestic and European stages.
