Barcelona have moved to sign 18-year-old striker Hamza Abdelkarim permanently from Egyptian side Al Ahly. The Catalans are said to have paid €1.5m plus add-ons for the youngster.
The teenager joined the club in the winter transfer window on an initial loan which included a purchase option. Barca have now exercised that option to ensure Abdelkarim stays at the club.
Barcelona are reportedly also planning on including
the youngster in their pre-season plans so that Hansi Flick can take a good look at him.
Abdelkarim is expected to lead the line for Barca Atletic next season, along with Oscar Gistau, but the hope is that he can go on and break into the first team at some point in the future.
Flick has said that Abdelkarim could be an option for Barcelona next season, with the youngster now set for a big summer.
Abdelkarim is in the Egypt squad for World Cup 2026, with the Pharoahs set to kick off their tournament on Monday against Belgium.
