There’s been plenty of speculation as to whether or not Tyson Fury will return to the ring again after announcing his most recent retirement, especially considering his history, but in this video interview Fury claims he’s at peace with his life exactly how it is, and has no motivation to come back to the sport no matter what platform nor how much money is offered to him.
“It’s like for me, now, what’s the point?” Fury said. “If you give me another $100M, what am I going to do with it?…There’s no actual
reason for me to go back in a boxing ring. 37-year-old, I’ve been punched to f-ck for the last 25 years, what do I want to go back to boxing for? Used to be for the money, the titles, all that sh-t. But now I got more money than I can spend, I’ve got unlimited amounts of belts and titles, and does it make me any happier? No. Was the chase better than the victory? Yes.
“The climb was better than the f-ckin’ mountain peak, to be fair. Always the case…I’m finished with goals, I got no more goals…I could go back to boxing at any given time, but I just don’t want to, you know what I mean?…You can offer me a billion today and it wouldn’t move the needle, it wouldn’t turn me on because I’ve got past that point of caring about what other people think.”
