All season, Bayern Munich has been among the best teams in Europe.
An incredible attack has led the way, but — make no mistake — this is a very solid group overall.
Now, though, the group’s mettle will be tested. An away match at Real Madrid is a true test of where a team stands. Is Bayern Munich the dominant, ruthless squad we have seen at times or will the Bavarians revert to past failures on the big stage vs. Real Madrid?
Fans might — or might not in some cases — want to know the answer to that right
now. However, this is the kind of games that fans should live for. You have two great teams overflowing with talent, who prepared and are ready to go toe-to-toe over the course of two legs.
It does not get any better than this (even if it induces some anxiety for some fans).
So…we are here and now is the moment for Bayern Munich to truly show what kind of team it is. Will they step up to the challenge and advance to the semifinals…or will this be the latest chapter in the sordid book chronicling the history between these two clubs?
We will not have to wait long to find out.

Entertainment Rundown
After finishing up Landman, here is what is on tap for my schedule (this could take me months to cover at this rate):
- Invincible, season four: New season is out, but I thought it started to trail off at the end of the last season. I will start it and see where it goes, though.
- Daredevil: Born Again, season two: I am most eager to see this because this season will likely determine how motivated I am to stick with it moving forward.
- DTF St. Louis, limited series: I should have jumped on this from the beginning.
- The Boys, season five: Was a big fan of the early seasons. Last season it hit a wall and was far less interesting. Admittedly, I don’t have high hopes for this.
Lord of the Flies
I’ve said it here that Lord of the Flies is my all-time favorite book and we dropped a teaser trailer here for the television adaptation a few weeks ago, but Netflix has added a (somewhat) more extended view of the trailer:
Predictions
A Champions League tie is a journey…a story. It is impossible to look at just one leg at a time because of how tied together the games are.
With Bayern Munich and Real Madrid both outstanding offensively, but with defensive issues (at times), this could be a wild match.
Prediction, Real Madrid 2-2 Bayern Munich
This will set up an incredibly intense — and important — second leg at the Allianz Arena with the two teams entering the fray knowing that the winner will take all. Can the Bavarians dig deep to send Real Madrid packing?

- Sporting CP 0-2 Arsenal

- FC Barcelona 2-1 Atlético Madrid
- Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 Liverpool
