Rhea Ripley has finally addressed Drake referring to her as his “muse.”
Drake is a noted wrestling fan, and during an appearance on Bobbi Althoff’s Not This Again podcast on September 2, 2025, the hip hop superstar expressed a special admiration for Ripley.
The topic came up when Drake was looking for Tyga’s Instagram feed, and he casually mentioned that his recommendations on the For You Page on the app was full of images of Ripley.
Althoff responded by saying she didn’t know who Ripley was.
“She’s
a wrestler,” Drake said. “She’s like my muse, but I’m the opposite of everything that she likes.”
The Canadian rapper’s confession about Ripley received considerable attention online, but Ripley hadn’t spoken publicly about it until she filmed a recent video with Complex.
While sneaker shopping with Complex’s Joe La Puma for the clip, the Australian star spoke about how she feels when she’s recognized by some of WWE ’s famous fans. She also reacted to rapper Lil Yachty praising her before she touched on the infamous “muse” comment.
“It’s so wild to see how so many names here in the WWE have crossed that wrestling line and made it mainstream. And now, people know us. Like, rappers know us, basketball players know us, football players, they know us,” she said. “It’s wild to see how big the WWE has become and the superstars in it. It’s really cool to see, because I didn’t know that he would know who I am, and then I saw that clip, and I was like, ‘Damn, Lil Yachty knows who I am.’”
La Puma then brought up Drake’s comment about her, noting that the two rappers are close, and it’s “like they’re in the Rhea Ripley fan club.”
Ripley responded by saying she actually met Drake in person at the 2025 Elimination Chamber PLE in his hometown of Toronto.
“It was wild. I remember meeting Drake for the first time, and we were in gorilla, and he just snuck in. Just seeing him in person, I was like, ‘Damn, that’s Drake!’” Ripley said.
She continued: “That’s wild, and then to hear him pretty much put me over as his muse, it’s just…It was Elimination Chamber last year, I believe [when she first met him]. He said hi to everyone.”
While she didn’t go into great detail about how she felt regarding the “muse” comment, she seemed flattered when speaking about it with La Puma.
What do you think about Ripley being Drake’s muse? Do you have a muse in the wrestling world? Sound off in the comments.
