Following Madrid’s 2-1 defeat to Osasuna, Javier Herráez was blunt on Carrusel Deportivo.
“For me it’s a reminder of the past. They played like it was inconvenient for them. The lineup was a mistake. If you want to play Carvajal, fine. But start him now, with that lack of identity and considering he hadn’t been a starter since August… Start him against Levante at the Bernabeu, not in Pamplona.”
The discussion moved on and warned about the consistent inconsistency of this team: “This defeat is very
hard because it brings you back to the reality of a season where they can’t link two good games. You can’t win titles like that. You cannot play with that intensity in Lisbon and then do that yesterday.”
He concluded: “I think it’s something that cannot be negotiated at Real Madrid. When you arrive as leader in Pamplona and have the draw, at least keep it and don’t give it away.”
