For the second time this season, Arizona football enters a road game coming off a bye week. The opponent this time around should be more manageable.
Arizona has opened as a 5.5-point favorite for its road
contest at Colorado Saturday, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Kickoff time for the game is set for 4 p.m. MST, and the matchup will air on FS1.
Arizona had a bye week after losing at Houston 31-28 on Oct. 18. Earlier this season the Wildcats played at Iowa State following a bye and lost 39-14.
Arizona faces a Colorado team that just lost 53-7 at Utah Saturday night. The Utes led Colorado 43-0 at halftime before easing up in the second half. Colorado had just 140 total yards of offense.
Needless to say, Colorado is an opponent Arizona needs to beat in order to stay on track to make a bowl game.
Arizona goes into the game with a 4-3 record against the spread (ATS). The Wildcats have failed to cover in three of their last four games, however.
Arizona is 5-5 ATS and 9-1 overall in its last 10 road games as a favorite of at least five points. Two years ago, Arizona was an 8-point favorite at Colorado and won 34-31 on a walk-off field goal.
Arizona is 5-4-1 ATS in its last 10 games coming off a bye. The Wildcats are 5-5 overall in that stretch, and had won three straight games following a bye until losing at Iowa State.
