Two weeks from today, we’ll be watching UNC football open the season against TCU in Dublin.
It will be the first time the program has played a game outside the United States, and it should be noted that the Carolina women’s soccer team will be tagging along for an exhibition against Irish pro team Shelbourne FC. That game will be played the day before Bill Belichick’s squad takes the field against the Horned Frogs.
Though I’ve never done it myself, it seems like a lot of fun to be able to watch your
favorite team in person while enjoying a vacation to some exciting place. That inspired our question of the day: what’s your dream destination for a neutral site game?
You can answer for any sport, and assume all expenses are paid for you and whoever you want to bring with you. It doesn’t have to be a currently existing game or tournament, either–feel free to invent one or bring back one from years ago (Carrier Classic, anyone?).
I think my first choice would be the Battle 4 Atlantis. As someone who’s not big on turkey, Thanksgiving in the Bahamas honestly sounds like a great time. Plus, I’ve always wondered what it’s like to attend a basketball game in a ballroom.
Where would you want to go to watch the Tar Heels? Tell us in the comments below.
