Saturday Night’s Main Event returns to Peacock next weekend, but you wouldn’t know it thanks to WWE’s lack of promotion.
That changed on Friday as Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque revealed the event’s poster on X, which features Intercontinental Champion Penta as the featured star.
“No fear on a Saturday night,” Levesque wrote. “#SNME is LIVE next Saturday, May 23, on PeacockTV!”
Penta will defend
his title against Raw newcomer Ethan Page. Two weeks ago on Netflix, the former NXT Champion pinned Penta during a tag team match. On Monday, he challenged the luchador to a title match. With zero hesitation, the champ accepted.
Perhaps Penta should have mulled it over because Page has a track record of finding success fast. Forty days after making his NXT debut, Page won the brand’s top title. Saturday Night’s Main Event marks his 33rd day on the red brand.
So far, WWE has announced just two matches for next week’s show. The other bout sees The Vision’s Logan Paul and Austin Theory defend the World Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits. Levesque’s poster reveal could suggest that Penta and Page will close the show in Fort Wayne.
Saturday Night’s Main Event airs live in the United States, streaming exclusively on Peacock on May 23 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
