The Miami Dolphins fell to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, dropping to 0-3 as they continue navigating a significant roster rebuild. While wins and losses matter, much of the focus in 2026 remains on the development of Miami’s young talent.
That is especially true along the offensive line, where rookie left guard Kadyn Proctor and second-year right guard Jonah Savaiinaea are important pieces of the team’s future. How are they performing this season? Each week, we take a closer look at the guards
and what is being said about their most recent performance.

What We Learned
The grades paint a mixed picture of Miami’s performance against Kansas City, but there were still encouraging signs from the Dolphins’ young guards. For the first time this season, Miami did not allow a sack, and on Ollie Gordon’s touchdown run, Kadyn Proctor executed an impressive pull to the left, sealing off Chiefs safety Jaden Hicks before helping escort (forcefully) Gordon into the end zone.
While that play was a highlight, there is still room for growth in pass protection. Proctor and Jonah Savaiinaea were each charged with two pressures, while the offensive line surrendered nine hurries overall. Even so, Proctor showed improvement as a pass protector, earning a 71.3 pass-blocking grade from PFF after posting a 39.1 mark the previous week.
The tracker will be updated each week throughout the season. For a more in-depth breakdown of Proctor’s and Savaiinaea’s performance, check out offensive line Coach Eric Smith’s film analysis of the game, which you can find on his YouTube channel, Focused on Fins.
