Robin Roefs: 7/10
Never tested by the home side, other than punching out a shot in the first half but was his usual calm self around the box and in possession.
Trai Hume: 7/10
Pretty comfortable defensively and tidy in possession, almost scored with a really good first time effort from a high ball but it was a good save by the home goalkeeper to tip it wide.
Nordi Mukiele: 8/10
Strolled through the game with Oxford unable to trouble him, he easily avoided the press time and time again.
Luke O’Nien (C): 8/10
Had a really good battle with Lankshear throughout, with O’Nien coming
out on top. Heavily involved on the ball too, with no-one else on the pitch having more touches.
Dennis Cirkin: 6/10
Did well to get forward and win the penalty for the winner but had a few difficulties with Oxford’s right winger, particularly in the first half.
Lutsharel Geertruida: 7/10
Always available for a pass in front of the back four, who he shielded well.
Enzo Le Fee: 8/10
Everything seemed to go through Le Fee for the entire game, popping up wherever the ball was and making the right pass.
Chemsdine Talbi: 7/10
Had a pretty quiet first half, other than one good cross to Isidor but was more lively after the break. Forced the goalkeeper into one good save when his powerful effort needed to be tipped over the bar.
Habib Diarra: 7/10
Lots of effort in the middle of the pitch and moved out wide a lot to support the wingers, not heavily involved in attacking areas but coolly slotted home the penalty.
Romaine Mundle: 8/10
Had the Oxford defenders beat time and time again and was by far our most dangerous attacking player. Had a number of attempts on goal but too often he would take one touch too many, or try and go past one too many defenders.
Wilson Isidor: 5/10
Got on the end of a Talbi cross in the first half and hit a shot into the side netting at the second attempt but struggled to get into the game.
Substitutes
Noah Sadiki: 7/10
Came on and helped us see out the game, did really well in his more natural position thanks to Geertruida holding the fort in the middle of the pitch. Was able to close down off the ball and drive up the pitch in possession.
Eliezer Mayenda: 6/10
Almost made an instant impact with a quick turn and shot in the box but his effort was saved by the goalkeeper.
Jocelin Ta Bi: 7/10
A very encouraging cameo, troubled the home side with his quick feet and driving runs. Came close to scoring when he cut in from the right wing and sent a shot just wide of the near post.
Man of the Match: Enzo Le Fee
Romaine Mundle would probably have been my man of the match but for all his good play, he was missing that final ball. So Enzo is my man of the match thanks to him being everywhere and integral to how we played, good on the ball, quick in the tackle and only O’Nien had more touches of the ball.
