What is the story about?
Happy Labor Day! The holiday has its roots in the American labor movement of the late 19th century, when workers were fighting for shorter hours, better pay and safer working conditions. The first major Labor Day celebration was held in New York City in 1882, and the holiday became a federal one in 1894.
These days, Labor Day mostly means a three-day weekend and the unofficial end of summer. The Royals play today, which doesn’t always seem to be the case. Why MLB doesn’t just make Memorial Day, Independence
