Bayern Munich’s signing of Senegalese talent Bara Sapoko Ndiaye, following his six-month loan from Gambinos Stars in January, has dragged on all summer.
Initially expected to be an afterthought due to the connection between Bayern and Gambinos Stars via Red&Gold Football, negotiations over a transfer fee, clarifying who has which rights over the player and several agents trying to claim Ndiaye as their client have gotten in the way. Ergo, the transfer has dragged on and on.
The wait may finally be
over, though. According to Senegalese journalist Khadim Diakhaté (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) the transfer is done and the announcement is very soon:
Bara Sapoko Ndiaye’s permanent move to FC Bayern has gone through. The Senegalese midfielder has signed a 5-year contract. Official announcement expected today at 13:00 CEST.
The young, explosive midfielder already participated in a recent friendly, lending more credence to the idea that the deal was essentially done. Now he can join Bayern and take Leon Goretzka’s squad spot as he looks to be one of a few young players that look to take the next step forward in the 2026/27 season.
