What is the story about?

The Las Vegas Raiders are in a position to get over 500 after having a four-game losing streak. It will be a tough matchup against the 6-1 San Francisco 49ers, who are coming off a bye week.

Rob Leonard and his defense are attempting to avoid a record. They have allowed 30 or more points in five straight games. If they make it a sixth, it will be the first time an NFL team has done it for six straight games.

It will be challenging, as he will be facing one of the best offenses in football. While they played better in the 2nd half, they have to be on point this week. Leonard said the 49ers are fundamentally sound on offense.

“Yeah, they do. They’re fundamentally sound, man. They’re a clean operation, and they
got some good players. Quarterback’s playing at a high level, good tight end, running backs, and the
offensive line is really good. So, that’s what jumps out to me, how fundamentally sound they are, and
they’re able to put a lot of pressure on you”

If the Raiders want to pull off an upset, they have to be fundamentally sound themselves. They can’t make the same mistakes on the field as they have over the past five weeks. Hopefully, the group will step up and help the offense, which has been pulling its weight.
