While much of the conversation around the Cleveland Browns is about the quarterback position, the roster is far from complete overall. While there continue to be injury concerns at the defensive tackle position, the Browns have reportedly been looking to add an edge player for a while.
A surprise visit from former Cleveland DE Jadeveon Clowney did not lead to a reunion, as the mammoth defender returned to the team that drafted him instead.
The Browns depth chart at the position starts with Jared Verse,
Alex Wright, and Isaiah McGuire, which fans are pretty content with, but Cleveland GM Andrew Berry might be getting desperate for another veteran option. According to Adam Schefter, DE/LB Tyus Bowser was in town for a workout, which is interesting given his recent history:

For most Super Bowl teams, 20 games played is one season, for Bowser it represents four years.
During those four seasons, Bowser had just two sacks, four QB hits, and 10 tackles for loss. In totality, the former second round pick from 2017 has just 19.5 sacks in seven seasons, primarily with the Baltimore Ravens. The Houston product has never had double digit tackles for loss and topped out at 15 QB hits and sevent sacks back in 2021.
A month ago, our Tom Moore noted that Clowney, Joey Bosa, Haason Reddick, and Kyle Van Noy are other free agent options for the team.
