The 2025 Yankee season came to an end a couple of weeks ago, and not in the way any of us would’ve hoped. The four-game ALDS loss to the Blue Jays has us in season recap mode far earlier than we would’ve hoped.
However, today in our season recap, we get to look back on some fairly happy memories. Today, it’s time to look back on the longest home runs from the 2025 Yankees’ season. With some of the sluggers the Yankees had in the lineup this past season, there were some doozies. It’s always fun to see an absolutely crushed dinger fly away, so let’s watch some of those, complete with freeze frames of the pitcher realizing just what has happened.
T-4th: Cody Bellinger – 3/29 vs. Brewers, 451 feet
We’re doing the top five, but we’re actually starting with fourth place, because there was a three-way tie for that mark, so we’ll see to see six homers in total.
The Yankees got their season off with quite the bang, home run-wise. Facing off against former teammate Nestor Cortes, the offense started the March 29th game with three home runs on the first three pitches Cortes threw, and hit nine on the day. The second in that sequence of three in the first inning came from Cody Bellinger, in his first as a Yankee. The 451-foot blast over the home bullpen helped kickstart a day that led to another entry on this list.
Pitcher Reaction:
Spoiler alert: This will be the only entry that won’t be from a certain usual two suspects.
T-4th: Giancarlo Stanton – 8/26 vs. Nationals, 451 feet
After missing the start of the season, Giancarlo Stanton didn’t return until June. For someone with as prodigious power as he possesses though, it took him a little while to get going in the home run department, not slugging his first until his 13th game back. However, he eventually did crack the 20 mark in less than half a season played. A nine home run spurt in August helped that, including this blast against the Nationals, as part of a performance where he drove home all five of the team’s runs.
Pitcher Reaction:
T-4th: Giancarlo Stanton – 9/26 vs. Orioles, 451 feet
One month to the day after the home run above, Stanton did it again to the other “Beltway” team.
Going into the final series of the regular season, the Yankees were still trying to chase down the Blue Jays for the AL East crown, which they would come just short of. However, the Yankees themselves did all they could do, as far as the final week was concerned. Helping that was a big effort against Orioles starter Trevor Rogers, including Stanton taking another ball on a 451-foot ride, his second homer of the day.
Pitcher Reaction:
T-2nd: Aaron Judge – 3/29 vs. Brewers, 468 feet
We’ve now reached the “Captain” portion of this countdown and another homer from that aforementioned game against the Brewers. Judge by himself would hit three homers in this particular contest, but we’re looking at the first one. Just one pitch after Bellinger got himself on this list, Judge did as well, taking his old teammate deep. His 468-foot blast very nearly reached the Yankee Stadium upper deck and truly got the party started on a notable day for him and the Yankees.
Pitcher Reaction:
T-2nd: Aaron Judge – 9/12 vs. Red Sox, 468 feet
All of our entries so far have been at Yankee Stadium, but here we finally have an away homer, and it’s one in maybe the most enjoyable stadium for a Yankee to hit one in. Another 468-foot blast from Judge went clear out of Fenway Park, and also notably took him past Joe DiMaggio on the Yankees’ all-time home run leaderboard.
Pitcher reaction:
1st: Aaron Judge – 6/10 vs. Royals, 469 feet
Clearing his two previous entries by just a foot, here is our winner for the 2025 season. On just the 10th pitch of a game against the Royals, Judge took one to the back wall of the Kaufmann Stadium stands in left field. It finished the 2025 season as the Yankees’ longest and tied for the 10th longest in all of baseball this past year. As it turns out, Aaron Judge is good at baseball.
