United working Upamecano’s reps hard? (The Hard Tackle)
Bayern Munich center-back is one of the top three or four names being bandied about in the transfer market for center-backs.
The Bavarians want to retain the Frenchman, but his demands on a signing bonus
and a release clause seem to have caused talks to hit a temporary stalemate. With Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Inter Milan, and maybe even Arsenal sniffing around, things could get tense.
As it turns out, there is another deep pocketed suitor to throw into the mix — Manchester United:
Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United are making moves to sign Bayern Munich centre-back Dayot Upamecano on a free transfer next summer. Having significantly bolstered their attack in the last summer transfer window, Manchester United have now shifted their focus towards other positions. The Red Devils are keen on adding more quality at the back, and according to a report from Fichajes, they are working on a deal to sign Dayot Upamecano on a free transfer.
Upamecano has only gone from strength to strength since joining Bayern Munich from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2021. He has been one of their standout performers in recent seasons. While he remains one of the first names on their team sheet under Vincent Kompany, the 27-year-old defender’s future has become a massive talking point because of his contract situation.
Bayern Munich’s desire to keep Upamecano is very strong, but the club could have certain limits and thresholds that it will not exceed. As of now, we can ascertain that this is all just part of normal negotiations, but should Upamecano hit January without a deal, it might be extremely hard to keep him.
Bayern has company in pursuit of German phenom (ESPN)
Bayern Munich has been linked to 16-year-old German midfielder Kennet Eichhorn, but the Bavarians are not the only club eyeing the “next Toni Kroos.” Manchester United and Arsenal are also in hot pursuit of the Hertha Berlin product:
Manchester United and Arsenal are leading the race to sign 16-year-old German sensation Kennet Eichhorn, says The Sun. The Hertha Berlin youngster, who has already been dubbed the “next Toni Kroos,” is also on the radar of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. Eichhorn is a Germany U17 international and has played eight times in 2.Bundesliga for Hertha so far this season. A deal would reportedly cost around €20 million, but only to another German club, so that fee might rise if he were to move abroad.

Endrick getting closer to January move? (ESPN)
Real Madrid youngster Endrick is reportedly unhappy with his playing time and could be looking to move in January. Specifically, Endrick seems to be fancying a loan to Olympique Lyon per this report:
A deal is “progressing” for Real Madrid forward Endrick to join Lyon on loan in January, Fabrizio Romano reports. Endrick wants to make the move, provided no permanent options are included in the deal. Sources told ESPN last week that Lyon were leading the race to sign the Brazil international, and the Ligue 1 side remain the only club in advanced talks to sign him despite the likes of Aston Villa being linked in recent weeks.
