The Green Bay Packers worked out a group of edge rushers on Monday, an interesting decision considering the team has two available roster spots on its practice squad at the moment. Worth noting: Green Bay has worked out 43 players since the cutdown deadline, and only one of them — an international player from Australia by the name of Cruz Smith — has been an edge rusher up to this point.
Below are the players that the Packers brought in today.
Vincent Anthony
Anthony is an undrafted rookie who spent training camp with the Kansas City Chiefs and was signed to the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad after the cutdown deadline. Anthony was released by the 49ers in late September, and he’s had workouts with the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets since then.
Anthony was guaranteed $267,500 by the Chiefs as a UDFA, more than any Packers player in the 2026 class. The Duke product was the 208th overall prospect on the consensus board.
Seth Coleman
Coleman has been a part of three teams since joining the NFL in 2025, but he hasn’t played any regular-season action in the league. He initially signed with the Seattle Seahawks, but was waived at the cutdown deadline of his rookie season.
He later resurfaced with the Indianapolis Colts for a one-week stint on their practice squad before signing a reserve/futures contract with the Miami Dolphins, where he spent training camp in 2026. This appears to be Coleman’s first workout since he was let go by the Dolphins.
D.J. Johnson
Johnson was a 2023 third-round pick who was mostly drafted off his athleticism, rather than production at the college level. The Miami-to-Oregon transfer has played 31 games in the NFL, including five starts — all of which came with the Carolina Panthers. In total, he’s played 677 defensive snaps to 220 special teams snaps.
After being waived in-season by the Panthers in 2025, he was picked up by the Washington Commanders’ practice squad late in the season and then inked a reserve/futures deal with the team going into 2026. He was let go by the Commanders at the cutdown deadline and re-signed to the team’s practice squad for about two weeks to start the 2026 season.
This appears to be Johnson’s first workout since he was released by the Commanders.
Dasan McCullough
McCullough is another rookie edge defender who went undrafted in 2026, but received sizable guarantees in his deal. McCullough signed for $265,000 guaranteed when he inked a contract with the Denver Broncos, more money guaranteed than any Packers UDFA received this cycle.
McCullough was ultimately let go by the Broncos at the cutdown deadline. He’s the son of Deland McCullough, a long-time coach with experience in the NFL and high-end college football. He’s also the grandson of Sherman Smith, who was the running backs coach under Pete Carroll, among other stops in the league.
Since being let go by Denver, McClullough has had workouts with the New England Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colts.
Reid Williford
Williford is the one non-edge defender who the Packers brought in today. The super athlete is actually a true off-ball linebacker.
He initially signed with the Baltimore Ravens for just a $15,000 signing bonus and no other guarantees. The Ravens let him go with an injury settlement in August, and this appears to be his first workout since he’s returned to full health.
