What is the story about?
Good morning, Fear the Wall.
Wishing you a happy Monday as we wrap up the month of March. April showers on the horizon.
As you can tell, there is just a plethora of news to share with you all about Borussia Dortmund during this international break. Dortmund knocked out their big news early in the week last week with the hiring of Ole Book, and fans definitely have reason to be excited as we consider the prospect of a new sporting and recruiting ethos in the Dortmund front office. Let’s see what else
is going on, if anything.
BVB News
- BILD have claimed that Serhou Guirassy’s release clause this summer (for “top clubs”) is lower than the previously reported €50 million, being closer to $€35. But it’s BILD. They also note that none of the clubs courting his services are “top clubs”. Brutal.
- Julian Nagelsmann had nothing encouraging to say about Felix Nmecha’s knee injury, citing concerns that he may not be healthy by the World Cup.
- Nagelsmann was also critical of Nico Schlotterbeck’s performance against Switzerland.
- Carney Chukwuemeka scored on his debut for the Austrian national team.
League/World News
- The USMNT took a beating from a very medium-excitement Belgium side. Getting grouped again…?
- Liverpool are eyeing Leipzig starlet Yann Diomande to replace the outgoing Mohammed Salah.
