Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard has shared a third video documenting his recovery from an Achilles injury that knocked him out of the 2025 NBA Playoffs, and likely the 2025-26 season.
In the video, Dame speaks to a trainer about his walking gait using a crutch, talks about wanting to make incremental progress in his leg and calf strength while “not being reckless,” briefly dipped into feeling like he doesn’t get the respect he deserves, then features some brief comments from his trainer and some behind-the-scenes
look at his recent basketball camp.
The video follows two shorter videos – one from Aug. 1 and one from Aug. 4 2025 – that also briefly looked into how Lillard is recovering so far.
Lillard averaged 24.9 points, 7.1 dimes, and 4.7 rebounds in 36 minutes per game for the Milwaukee Bucks last season. After being waived by the Bucks, Lillard signed with Portland on a $42M, three-year contract with a player option in the final year.
