- The latest Champions League SuperComputer has predicted that Barcelona will beat Arsenal in the final, despite the Gunners finishing top of the table.
- Liverpool and Manchester City complete an all-English top three, with the latter being knocked out by Arsenal in the semifinals.
- Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Chelsea will all be knocked out in the quarterfinals after qualifying via the play-off round.
- Holders Paris Saint-Germain and the most successful Champions League side Real Madrid will both fail to make the semifinals.
- The latest Champions League SuperComputer has predicted that Barcelona will win the competition for a sixth time, beating Arsenal in the final.
- After cruising past Atletico Madrid on Tuesday evening, Mikel Arteta’s side will finish top of the table, one point ahead of Liverpool in second.
- However, after beating Manchester City, Juventus and Chelsea en route to the final, the Gunners will fall at the final hurdle and lose 1-0 against Blaugrana in Budapest. Hansi Flick’s men thrashed Olympiacos 6-1 on Tuesday and the SuperComputer suggests they will beat Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Union SG on their way to the final.
- Liverpool are predicted to finish second, one point behind Arsenal, and beat Newcastle United in the round of 16 before being knocked out by Inter at the quarter-final stage. Manchester City complete an all-English top three, finishing on 17 points.
- Tottenham Hotspur will miss out on automatic qualification to the round of 16 on goal difference, finishing in 11th. The SuperComputer suggests they’ll beat Athletic Bilbao before being knocked out by Real Madrid penalties.
- Newcastle United, meanwhile, will finish 16th and beat PSV 9-3 on aggregate to progress into the round of 16, with Chelsea finishing one place above the Magpies and facing a re-match with Ajax in the play-off round.
- Holders Paris Saint-Germain will be knocked out by Vincent Kompany’s Bayern on penalties in the round of 16, while Real Madrid will fall at the hands of Manchester City in the quarter-finals as Pep Guardiola’s side seek revenge for being knocked out by Los Blancos in consecutive seasons.
