Robin Roefs: 7/10
Made a great double save in the first half, although the second shot ended up being offside, but will be disappointed with the Cash goal, it did swerve but it was one he would expect to save. Otherwise was very well protected today.
Trai Hume: 8/10
Defended well throughout and made a couple of trademark challenges, didn’t give a millimetre of space to anyone down his side.
Nordi Mukiele: 10/10
An absolute colossus at the back, was great last week against Palace but was even better today.
Omar Alderete: 9/10
Great defensive performance for the entire game,
was never beaten and also caused problems up top with a diving header that smashed off the crossbar.
Reinildo: 5/10
Was actually having a good game until he was sent off for reacting to a late Cash challenge, really silly reaction.
Noah Sadiki: 9/10
Covered so much ground today, seemed to be absolutely everywhere. Was getting up to support attacks, was protecting the back four. Just an unbelievable shift.
Granit Xhaka (C): 9/10
Played a lovely cushioned header over the top for Isidor’s equaliser but a real captain’s effort today, worked so hard in front of the back four.
Chemsdine Talbi: 8/10
Started really lively on the right wing, putting in a lovely cross for Isidor but switched to left wing back following Reinildo’s dismissal and was very good in that position, multiple times he drove us up the pitch and won us either a corner or throw in.
Chris Rigg: 6/10
Looked bright and lively, made a really nice turn before playing a good through ball to Isidor and was getting stuck in but unfortunate to find himself subbed due to the red card.
Enzo Le Fee: 7/10
Never got a chance to be much of a creative force today following the red card but put in a huge shift and showed flashes of his quality to get us up the pitch.
Wilson Isidor: 8/10
Brilliant anticipation and finish for the equaliser but his work rate off the ball today was unbelievable. Had a few other half chances too, a header just wide from a Talbi cross and a couple of instinctive efforts.
Substitutes
Dan Ballard: 8/10
Caused absolute mayhem in the Villa box but also defended well in his own and won the ball high up a few times too.
Arthur Masukau: 6/10
Came on for Talbi and helped us to get over the line.
Lutsharel Geertruida: 7/10
Thought he was really good defensively when he came on, squared up Sancho and didn’t give him a sniff.
Eliezer Mayenda: 6/10
Some really nice touches to get away from Villa defenders but unfortunately a bit too deep in our own half.
Dan Neil: 6/10
Came on very late for the tiring Sadiki and did well right at the death to win a loose ball in our box and then a free kick to kill the game.
Man of the Match: Nordi Mukiele
Some outstanding defensive displays today but Mukiele was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch, won absolutely everything that came his way. An even more dominant display than the one shown against Mateta last week, caused havoc with his long throw ins and played a clever ball to set up Alderete’s header off the crossbar.
