Liverpool welcome Set Piece FC to Anfield today for what should be an exciting match. Most recent matches—5 of the last 6—between the Gunners and Reds have resulted in draws in recent years, and Liverpool haven’t beaten Arsenal in the league since March 2022. On the other hand, Arsenal have not won at Anfield since the first month
of the Brendan Rodgers era, all the way back in 2012.
Arsenal will come into the match with some optimism, and a fairly large chip on their shoulder after being gazumped to the title last season en route to their third consecutive runner’s up finish. That Liverpool have looked so shakey at set pieces will no doubt be giving Mikel Arteta wet dreams in the lead up the the match, so Virg & Co. will really have to be back to their best for today’s matchup.
