It’s Monday Night Football week for the Washington Commanders so we’ve got practice and pressers on a Saturday! Dan Quinn spoke with reporters after today’s chilly practice and gave some updates before the team flies to California to take on the 5-0 San Francisco 49ers. Four players have been ruled out and won’t travel with the team. Bill Croskey-Merritt reinjured his groin, an injury he dealt with during training camp. Washington will also be without OLBs Charles Omenihu (groin/ankle) and Javontae
Jean-Baptiste (pec), along with QB Marcus Mariota (MCL sprain).
Quinn has put an emphasis on reducing the teams penalties and he said they had less than their average this week. He said the team is more focused, and Jayden Daniels showed maturity in taking responsibility for his role in the Commanders tie game finish last week. Quinn noted the growth he’s seen from Daniels this year coming back from injury, running a new offense, and he said there’s an elevated presence about him that’s very easy to see.
