The Athletics are back home this week starting with a three-game series against the Boston Reds Sox that kicks off the homestand tonight at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento. After an extended road trip with mixed results, it will be good to get back home for the Red Sox and Reds. Getting the start tonight for the A’s is Luis Morales the 22-year-old rookie out of Cuba. Morales has been terrific in his six 2025 games, going 3-0 with a 1.59 ERA and thirty strikeouts. He has not faced the Sox in his career.
He’ll go up against 26-year-old lefty Garrett Crochet. Crochet, who has been in Cy Young discussions for most of the season is 14-5 with a 2.67 ERA in twenty-eight starts with 218 K’s.
