The Wisconsin Badgers have had a strong first weekend of official visits, landing three of their six visitors so far, thanks to commitments from four-star wide receiver Jai Jones, three-star linebacker Nathan Jones, and three-star cornerback Royalton Allen.
Of the other targets, the Badgers seemed to have made a strong impression on three-star wideout Tavares Powell and three-star edge Darin Graham, while four-star cornerback Mekhi Williams de-committed after his Wisconsin visit and will announce
his recruitment this Wednesday.
But, the Badgers aren’t done yet. They’ve got a pretty strong group of targets coming to campus this weekend, and there’s a new addition to the list: composite four-star wide receiver Charles Alexander.
Alexander, who stands 6’2, 190 pounds, is currently committed to the Louisville Cardinals. He visited with Louisville this past weekend, and was scheduled to visit Wisconsin next weekend, but that is bumping up a week as the Badgers look to make a play for the Ohio native.
The wideout, who has 26 reported offers, had received a scholarship from the Badgers last spring, and Wisconsin will now bring him in amidst a huge wideout week for coach Ari Confesor.
Wisconsin is also bringing in three-star wideouts Chanin Hareiz and Steele Harris in for visits after landing four-star Jai Jonez over the weekend.
The goal is for the Badgers to nab at least two wideouts in this cycle, with a third also being a possibility, so this will be a huge weekend for Confesor as Wisconsin looks to shape out its 2027 class.
