Well, here we are. Detroit Pistons face an elimination game against the Orlando Magic. Winner goes to the second round to face either the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Toronto Raptors. The loser’s season is done. No pressure. A win at Little Caesars Arena adds a little more myth to what has been, for lack of a better word, a magical season. A loss ends a season a starts a critical offseason where this team must determine how to turn promise into contention. We will soon know which path this team is taking.
But it’s never been an easy path, so expect 48 minutes of misery and hope it ends with a bit of exhilaration.
