A five-run fourth helped power Syracuse to a lopsided victory over the Iron Pigs, punctuated by a two-run homer by Jett Williams that broke the game open. Carson Benge got the Mets on the board with an RBI single in the first—the first of four hits for Benge on the night. Luis Moreno was fantastic on the mound for Syracuse with 4 1/3 scoreless innings complete with three strikeouts. Unfortunately for the Mets, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre also won on last night to clinch
the International League second half title for the RailRiders.
