Andreas Christensen has reportedly picked up a leg injury which caused him to miss El Clasico and means he may also sit out Sunday’s trip to Elche.
The Denmark international has struggled with injuries throughout his Barcelona career but has seen plenty of game time at the start of the 2025-26 season.
Christensen has missed training over the last week due to illness and it’s now emerged that since returning to action he has suffered a foot injury which ruled out him out of the squad for the trip to the Bernabebu.
RAC1 are reporting that Christensen is now a “serious doubt” for Barcelona’s next game in yet another blow to the 29-year-old star.
The news is also nother issue for Hansi Flick to contend with as he aims to get his team back to winning ways after losing to Real Madrid.
He is hoping to have Robert Lewandowski back for the game against Elche but will have to cope without Pedri due to suspension after his late red card against Madrid.
