Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé talked to the French media during France’s training camp and explained his current physical condition. Initially, it was a surprise to see him make the squad list for the French national team considering that he wasn’t able to start for Real Madrid after his injury.
“In Spain they are a little worried that I will not play. They think I’ll go straight to the World Cup. The best way to get to the World Cup in full form is to win everything with Real Madrid. We are still
playing in the remaining two competitions, LaLiga and the Champions League,” he said.
Mbappé also shared his thoughts on how he’s been dealing with the amount of attention that comes from being a madridista.
“People are very passionate. For them, Real Madrid is a religion. Everything that has to do with the club and me generates a combination that makes everyone talk and speculate. At Real Madrid everyone has faced criticism, even Cristiano Ronaldo, so I don’t see why I should escape that kind of criticism. We all need to deal with it. Stay calm, focus on the work and we do have the confidence to believe that you can improve,” he concluded.
