1. PEDRO NETO (8.0)
Neto’s kept his good form going from the Club World Cup, and it’s always great to see him making an impact directly on the scoresheet. That doesn’t happen very often (just four league goal last season). And though he certainly makes plenty of impact otherwise, it’s even better if he can get a goal or an assist … or both, like in this game!
This is Neto’s fifth top-three appearance so far this season; only Moisés Caicedo has more with seven.
2. REECE JAMES (7.9)
Another strong game from Reecey playing in his natural position,
fresh off a restful international break. He’s now managed to start four of our last five games and the only game in which he did not feature was the League Cup third round match against lower-league opposition. Dare I say, our workload management is working in this case!
3. JOSH ACHEAMPONG (7.7)
Josh gets the high rating because of his goal, his first senior professional goal for Chelsea, but we shouldn’t overlook his strong defensive work. He was often matched up against Taiwo Awoniyi, who can prove a handful for the strongest and most experienced defenders in the league, let alone a player making his ninth Premier League appearance — and he passed the test excellently.
