Hey, everybody. I know we’re all a bit down right now, but hopefully this can bring some lightheartedness. As we head through what should be an interesting Notre Dame Fighting Irish season, I will be compiling and explaining away takes after seeing some WILD OVERREACTIONS to this game and all games this season. These will mostly come from takes, emotions, and thoughts I see or hear during the games or immediately following games.
Overreactions from ND @ Miami
I mean, just wow. Blame the play calling (and believe me I have), blame both lines having struggles, or blame something else – we can pick apart what happened. You cannot go in there and “create a spark” just by taking out the QB in his first start. That causes even more confusion an chaos. This was such a wild take, and I get it, I know we want to get the win. But just because Minchey made it an allegedly interesting QB competition does not mean he gets to come in at a sign of trouble. Definitely not the answer.
So, the Irish did not lose because one lineman was out. Also, that’s not fair to Charles. Freeman had his back, so I would lay off the kid on this one. Plus, one lineman wasn’t going to make or break the play of the OLine. Plus, to me, the Defensive Line was actually the line play I thought would be better than it was on Sunday.
Coaching was suspect on the offensive side of the ball, BoodaCheese is right on that. However, if you watched the game, and definitely in the second half, the moment was not too big for Carr. He led a comeback to tie in his first start. Plus, wrong Carr family, Mr. Cheese.
