Borussia Dortmund’s most drawn out attempt to acquire Carney Chukwuemeka from Chelsea has taken another turn on Thursday, with the inclusion of Aarón Anselmino in the talks between the two sides.
Dortmund are apparently also interested in the young defender, but Chelsea are only willing to agree to a loan if BVB finally pay up for Chukwuemeka in a permanent transfer. I don’t think anyone would’ve predicted that mystery man Anselmino would be the key to unlocking this lengthy stalemate, but here were
are (at least according to the rumor mill).
Fabrizio says that we’ll be discussing these issues “directly” on Friday, which is generally the best way to discuss issues. Indirect talk is how Spurs try to sign wingers.
Dortmund are reportedly offering just €20m for Chukwuemeka, which is certainly on the low side of his valuation, regardless of any potential add-ons and future fees. But I’m not sure we can really hope for anything more at this point.
