The Las Vegas Raiders promoted wide receiver Shedrick Jackson to the 53-man roster from the practice squad this week. Let’s get to know him:
Size:
6-1, 195 pounds.
NFL experience:
He signed with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2023 as an undrafted free agent. He started the season on the practice squad after not making the initial 53-man roster in August. He finished the season on the 53-man roster. He didn’t make the team again in training camp in 2024 and started the season on the practice squad before being
released in September. He played in five games with the Bengals with no catches. He was mostly a special-teams player. The Raiders signed Jackson to the practice squad in December and was signed a future contract in January. He didn’t make the Raiders after a strong preseason. He was signed to the practice squad and was elevated for games three times. He caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Kenny Pickett against the Denver broncos in Week 14. It was his first NFL reception.
College:
Jackson went to Auburn. He started 29 career college games and had 66 career catches.
Raiders history:
He is the great nephew of former Raiders’ running back Bo Jackson.
How he will fit in with Raiders:
Jackson, who turns 26 in October, could get some limited playing time in the final two games and have a chance to impress for next season.
