According to a report from Sport1 journalist Stefan Kumberger (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Max Eberl might have to wait a little longer before learning whether he will remain Bayern Munich’s board member for sport beyond this season.
According to the latest reports, the supervisory board’s final decision on Eberl’s future could be pushed back until mid-November, just ahead of Bayern Munich’s annual general meeting. That would represent a notable delay from the original timeline, as a decision had
initially been expected during the supervisory board meeting at the end of August.
The reported delay suggests Bayern Munich’s leadership is willing to give Eberl additional time to strengthen his position before making such an important decision.
It has been a busy and eventful summer for Eberl. Bayern Munich has reshaped parts of the squad with the arrivals of players like Ismael Saibari and Nathaniel Brown, while also navigating several high-profile contract situations and potential outgoing transfers. With the transfer window still open, Eberl has more opportunities to influence the club’s direction before the supervisory board reaches its verdict.
If the timeline is indeed extended, Eberl will have roughly two and a half more months to demonstrate that his long-term vision is the right one for Bayern Munich.
