With a new lucrative contract extension recently in place, Indianapolis Colts star running back Jonathan Taylor now has another honor to his name, as he cracked the Top 20 of the NFL Top 100, which is voted on by his peers:
It’s a major leap for Taylor, who wasn’t even considered on last year’s Top 100, despite making the list before.
The Colts star workhorse had another highly productive season,
rushing for 1,585 total rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns on 323 total carries during all 17 starts. His rushing touchdowns and carries led the league, while he finished 3rd in total rushing yards respectively. He earned Pro Bowl honors for a consecutive year.
At one point, Taylor was a bona fide NFL MVP candidate before starting quarterback Daniel Jones was limited by injuries, eventually succumbing to a season-ending torn Achilles, and it derailed both Taylor and the Colts team success down the final stretch run.
Taylor has been a monster rushing the football for the Colts, and his unique combination of vision, speed, and power is unmatched, with the ability to take the football to the house with any carry and just a crack of daylight.
He’s one of the team’s best players collectively, and it’s great to see him receive such a national shoutout. Here’s hoping he has at least a few more Top 100 nods left in his future Hall of Fame track career with the Colts.
