Duke’s incredible win streak is now at 14 with a thrilling 59-58 road win over #6 Louisville.
Duke led for much of the game before Louisville tied it up at 46-46 and then hit a three to push out in front, 49-46.
The Blue Devils pushed back out in front by 6 but the Cardinals pushed back again and as time was running out, Louisville stole the ball down 59-57 and got the ball to Imani Berry who drove to the basket.
She was fouled and made the first, then missed the second. And then Riley Nelson got her
ninth and final rebound and Duke got the ball back with .1 left on the clock Nelson just bounced the ball off her defender’s leg to run the win streak to 13.
In addition to her 9 boards, Nelson finished with 13 points. Toby Fournier led the way with 15 and she also had 9 rebounds (and unfortunately 6 turnovers).
Duke held Louisville t0 29% on threes and 34% overall, but the Cardinals arguably lost this game at the line, there they hit just 11-18 (61%).
Next up is 8-15 SMU in Cameron on Sunday.
