This weekend, Bright Side will be at Naismith, Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts, to cover Mike D’Antoni and Amar’e Stoudemire and the rest of the 2026 class as they get inducted into the Hall of Fame.
D’Antoni and Stoudemire, both leading members of the Phoenix Suns’ iconic “7 Seconds or Less” era back in the 2000s, where the Phoenix Suns made three Western Conference Finals and started the 2004-2005 season with the fifth-best record ever through 35 games. The “7 Seconds or Less” Suns were
one of the first teams to play four players around the perimeter and one player inside, and they are considered a highly influential impact on how modern basketball is played.
Surrounded by two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash, Stoudemire made five All-Star appearances and was a four-time All-NBA selection as a member of the Suns, while D’Antoni led Phoenix to four-straight 50+ win seasons, the second-longest streak in Suns history.
