The New York Jets are 1-2. If they want to reach 2-2 with a win over the Chicago Bears, they will likely have to do it without several key offensive pieces.
Head coach Aaron Glenn spoke with the media on Wednesday, September 30, and revealed some blunt news.
“We got five guys that won’t practice today; they’ll be on a week-to-week basis, which is Mason Taylor, AD (Adonai Mitchell), Breece (Hall), Dylan (Parham), and Kiko (Mauigoa). Guys that will be limited today: (Kenyon) Sadiq, Ruck (Jeremy Ruckert),
Minkah (Fitzpatrick), and Kene (Nwangwu). Look forward to those guys actually progressing as the week goes and seeing them get some playing time,” Glenn told the media.
That could mean no TE2, no WR2, no RB1, and no LG1. Not great, Bob. The Chicago Bears have proven they can put up points. It’ll be more difficult for the Jets to match that without several offensive playmakers. Now, nothing is official; all of those players who didn’t practice, Glenn considered “week-to-week,” but it isn’t a good sign that they aren’t practicing.
Let’s hope the injury football Gods look down upon us with favor. Blessed be he.
