The Chargers are done practicing in preparation for Week Six and this Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins.
How did the team turn out?
Well, the offensive line is once again going to be a problem. Per
the team’s final injury report, right tackle Trey Pipkins is out and backup offensive guard Jamaree Salyer is questionable with knee injuries. Salyer did not participate in the last two practices while Pipkins did not practice all week.
Luckily starting right guard Mekhi Becton is back and will play, but that means the Chargers will have their fourth and fifth different starting offensive tackles protecting Justin Herbert. Per The Athletic’s Daniel Popper, Austin Deculus will once again start at left tackle while Bobby Hart will start on the right side.
As for the rest of the report, pass rusher Bud Dupree (hamstring), wide receiver Quentin Johnston (hamstring), fullback Scott Matlock (ankle), and linebacker Denzel Perryman (ankle) are all questionable.
Return man Derius Davis (knee) and offensive tackle Joe Alt (ankle) will also miss another game, as well.
Defensive tackle Da’Shawn Hand, the team’s best-performing defensive tackle this season, has also been ruled out with a groin injury he sustained against the Commanders.
