The Brazilian national team confirmed this weekend that Raphinha will miss time after suffering a hamstring injury in their World Cup 2026 clash against Haiti.
Raphinha picked up the same injury he suffered three months ago, which also happened in Brazil duty and caused him to miss both legs of Barcelona’s Champions League elimination to Atlético Madrid. Injuries were the story of a tough year for the Barça captain, who had a Ballon d’Or level season in 2024/25 but was unable to reach the same incredible
heights in this campaign.
Barça signed Anthony Gordon for big money as direct competition for Raphinha and there is once again serious interest from Saudi Arabia, and for the first time in the last couple of years Raphinha hasn’t immediately rejected the chance of leaving Camp Nou and will take time to consider his future after the World Cup.
The current scenario at least opens the door for the possibility of Raphinha choosing to end his Blaugrana chapter, and the latest reporting suggests Barça want him to stay and will only consider a sale if Raphinha requests it and a huge offer arrives.
So today’s Barca Blaugranes Question of the Day is:
Should Barcelona consider selling Raphinha?
